Cersaie 2019 Exhibition: Our take on the trends to watch out for in 2020

Posted on October 25, 2019 || Exhibition

Each year, international designers and architects flock to Cersaie, Bologna’s trade fair dedicated to bathroom furnishings and ceramic tiles. The leading event – which took place from 23 to 27 September 2019 – attracts more than 112,000 attendees, and we, of course, were amongst them.

Aiming to always stay up to date with the latest design trends, as to offer our clients the best advice and finest products to transform their homes into stylish living spaces, we make sure to keep up with all the latest trends and exhibitions.

1. Black & White diversified

From optical effects, to mosaics, to terrazzo, this year is all about exploring how the simplest color match – black and white – can lead to endless results, when combined to a surface in ceramic.

2. Marble on Ceramic

If Cersaie 2019 has proven one thing, it’s that marble is here to stay. The latest tile trend is inspired by the digital technologies, the reproduction of the most refined and precious marbles on ceramic surfaces.

3. Beige lives on

Another trend that will survive and evolve in 2020 is the inclusion of warm neutral beige hues into interior spaces. The love for this revived trend is to the color’s ability to create a perfectly paired, uplifting space.

4. Embossed resurgence

Vintage is surely seeing a resurgence in the world of interior design, with embossed tiles making their way into the spotlight. Embossed tiles have the characteristic ability to add depth and texture to a wall and, when mixed with plain tiles create an absolutely bespoke look.

5. Geometric

Geometric patterns are all the craze right now. They allow for endless options and combinations, limited only by your personal taste and imagination. Keep it safe with timeless black and white, or be bold and play with colour.
